Our indoor/outdoor LED frames are built to handle the elements, with high-durability, moisture- and wet-resistant construction rated IP54, so they’re made to get wet. Every frame can be made in any custom size, and we’re happy to build just one or 10,000. A sturdy tubular aluminum frame and a 2.875-inch-deep profile deliver super uniform light diffusion, with bright, even white light that can be dimmed to any level with an optional dimmer. Changing your graphic is easy and safe: four flip-up frame edges replace the heavy swing door that makes other frames awkward to open. Frames run on 12V or 24V. We recommend 24V unless you’re powering from a vehicle battery, where 12V is the right fit. They’re also energy efficient, using about 0.1042 watts per square inch of lighted graphic area. The bottom section comes in black or silver, and the top can be any color you want. Hanging is simple, whether you screw it directly to the wall, use a Z-bar, or hang it, and secure options are available to protect both the frame and your graphic from theft. Installing Your Glowbox FLEX LED Frame

Indoor or Outdoor, Water Resistant, and Built to Shine

Thank you for choosing Glowbox! Your FLEX frame is made to look great and hold up inside or out. This guide walks you through everything from choosing the right power supply to hanging your frame and loading your graphic. Most installs take just a few minutes once your wiring is in place.

⚡ Choosing the Right Power Supply

Where your power supply lives matters as much as where your frame hangs:

• Power supply mounted outside: Use an outdoor-rated power supply, even if it’s under a canopy or in a covered, dry spot.
• Power supply kept inside a dry building: Either an indoor or outdoor power supply will work.
• Frame mounted indoors: An indoor power supply is fine. We may still send an outdoor-rated one, which works just as well.

Our recommendation: For outdoor frames, keep the power supply indoors when you can, and run the cord through the wall to the frame outside. It’s the cleanest and most protected setup.

• #10 pan-head Phillips screws, 18-8 stainless steel, 3.5" long
• One 1/4" hammer-style drill bit for brick, masonry, concrete, or drywall

🧱 Hanging Your Frame

1. Find the bottom first. Every frame is marked “Bottom of Frame.” On outdoor frames, the bottom also has drain holes. Mount the frame with the bottom facing down, because that’s where the graphic clips are.
2. Drill your pilot holes. Use the included 1/4" bit to drill a hole for each anchor.
3. Set the anchors. Gently tap a white Sharkie anchor into each hole.
4. Secure the frame. Insert the screws through the mounting holes in the frame channel. They pass through the frame and the tube structure behind it and go about 1 inch into the anchor.
5. Use every mounting hole. On larger frames, that means all four sides.

🖼️ Loading Your Graphic

The FLEX makes graphic changes easy. Just flip up the frame edges, with no heavy swing door to wrestle.

• Diffuser panel: The special white 1/4" acrylic diffuser comes taped in place and may also be held by steel clips at the bottom. Lay your graphic right over them. They shouldn’t get in the way when the edges flip down, but you can remove them if they do.
• Your graphic: The frame is designed for a thin, outdoor-rated plastic graphic.
• Cover lens (if included): You may have received a .060" polycarbonate cover (outdoor) or a non-glare lens (indoor). Peel off the protective masking before installing.
• Bottom clips (if included): Slide your graphic and cover lens under the bottom clips. They keep everything from sliding down and out of the bottom of the frame.

🔌 Wiring & Power

Safety first: Please have a licensed electrician handle all wiring, power-up, and grounding of outdoor frames to code.

Connecting the power supply: Always match polarity, and use the wire nuts provided.

• 200W power supply: White to white (+), black to black (−).
• 500W power supply: Black to black (−), white to red (+). On this unit, we’ve soldered the two outputs together so it delivers full power to your frame.

Powering multiple frames: One power supply can often run several smaller frames, depending on their size. Just ask us and we’ll help you figure out the right setup.

🎚️ Optional Dimmer (if ordered)

• Use one dimmer per frame, wired as shown above.
• The dimmer’s input comes from the power supply only (12V or 24V). ⚠️ Never connect the dimmer directly to 110–120V household power.
• Keep the dimmer in a dry location, away from water.
